Breezm Eyewear Shipping Policy

Breezm Eyewear ships custom-made eyewear globally. Shipping methods, costs, and timelines vary by destination. This policy outlines our shipping practices, delivery responsibilities, and associated fees.

Overall Timeline: 4-5 weeks from order placement to delivery (varies by destination)

The typical delivery process breaks down as follows:

  • Order Processing & Production: 2 weeks
  • International Air Transportation & Customs Clearance: 7-14 business days
  • Warehouse Processing & Final Delivery: 5-10 business days

Note: Delivery timelines are estimates and not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to customs clearance, weather, carrier schedules, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.


Shipping to the United States

Shipping Process

Orders placed in the United States are consolidated and shipped in bulk via air cargo from our manufacturing facility in South Korea to our distribution warehouse in New York. Once your order arrives at the warehouse and clears U.S. customs inspection, it will be delivered to your address via ground shipping (typically 3-7 business days after warehouse arrival).

Total typical US delivery time: 3-4 weeks from order placement

Shipping Costs

  • Free shipping is available to all 48 contiguous United States
  • Additional shipping chargesmay apply to remote areas within the US, including:
    • Alaska
    • Hawaii
    • US territories and possessions
    • Other areas designated as remote by our shipping carriers (FedEx, UPS, USPS)

Customers in these areas will be notified of any additional shipping charges at checkout before finalizing their order.

Taxes

  • Prescription eyewear: No sales tax will be charged on prescription glasses as they are classified as medical devices under applicable state laws
  • Non-prescription eyewear (plano frames without prescription lenses): Sales tax may apply based on your state of residence and applicable state law
  • Tax calculations are handled automatically at checkout

Tracking

You will receive a tracking number via email once your order ships from our New York warehouse. You can use this number to monitor delivery progress through your carrier's website. Please allow 1-2 business days after warehouse processing for the tracking number to become active in the carrier system.

Risk of Loss

The risk of loss and title for all products passes to you upon our delivery to the shipping carrier (FedEx, UPS, or USPS). Breezm is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to packages in transit. We recommend purchasing additional carrier insurance for high-value orders.


Shipping to Other Countries (Outside the United States)

Restricted Destinations

Breezm does not ship to the following countries due to legal or regulatory restrictions:

  • China : O2O model requires mandatory in-person eye examination at a physical location
  • Malaysia : Complete prohibition on online sales of optical devices
  • Singapore : Online optical device sales are restricted; requires physical retail presence
  • South Korea : Legal prohibition on online eyewear sales
  • Thailand : Requires Local Authorized Representative registration with Thai FDA for medical device imports

For customers in all other countries, please verify that your country's regulations permit the importation of prescription eyewear and custom-manufactured glasses before placing an order.

Shipping Process

Orders placed outside the United States are shipped individually via international air mail from our manufacturing facility in South Korea directly to your local logistics center or customs entry point, then delivered to your address via ground shipping or local courier.

Total typical international delivery time: 4-6 weeks from order placement (varies significantly by destination and customs processing times)

Shipping Costs

International shipping costs vary by destination and will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Shipping fees cover:

  • International air transportation from South Korea
  • Handling and processing at international logistics hubs
  • Delivery to your address via local courier or ground shipping

Customs, Duties, and VAT

Important: Customers ordering from outside the United States are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, VAT (Value Added Tax), and any other import-related charges imposed by their country or customs authority.

  • These charges are not included in the Breezm invoice and are the sole responsibility of the recipient
  • Customs authorities will contact you directly regarding payment of these charges before releasing your package
  • Breezm is not liable for delays caused by customs clearance, holds, or disputes over declared valuation
  • Depending on your country's regulations, you may be required to pay these charges before taking delivery of your package
  • Some countries may refuse delivery if duties/taxes are not paid, in which case your package will be returned to Breezm at your expense

Delivery Address Requirements

  • Your shipping address must be accurate, complete, and deliverable
  • Breezm is not responsible for packages delivered to incorrect addresses due to customer error or address changes made after shipment
  • For international orders, we ship to residential and business addresses only; we do not ship to P.O. Boxes, mailbox services, or addresses requiring special handling
  • If you need to change your shipping address after placing an order, contact us immediately at support@breezm.com; changes can only be made before your order is shipped from South Korea

Order Status and Communication

You will receive email updates about your order's progress through production and shipping at key milestones:

  • Order confirmation and processing start
  • Production completion
  • Shipment from South Korea
  • Warehouse arrival/customs clearance
  • Final shipment to your address

You can check your order status at any time by:

  • Using the in-app order tracking feature (if available)
  • Response Time: We aim to respond to all inquiries within 24-48 business hours.

Returns and Exchanges

Return Window and Notification

If you are unsatisfied with your glasses for any reason, you may request a return or exchange within 45 days of delivery. To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us at support@breezm.com or through the app within 45 days of delivery
  2. Provide your order number and reason for return
  3. Request a return authorization number and return shipping label
  4. Mail your package using the label provided

Important: Returns initiated after 45 days from delivery will not be accepted. We recommend contacting us as soon as possible if you wish to return your order.

Return Conditions

Your glasses must be returned completely intact and in original condition to qualify for a refund or exchange. This includes:

  • All lenses intact, unscratched, and free of damage
  • Frame undamaged, unaltered, and unworn
  • Original packaging and accessories (if applicable)

We reserve the right to reject returns that do not meet these conditions or to deduct restoration costs from your refund if the glasses show signs of wear or damage.

Return Shipping Costs

US Orders:

  • If the return is due to our error (incorrect order, defective item, damaged shipping, etc.) and is reported within 7 days of receipt , Breezm will cover return shipping costs in full and provide a prepaid return label
  • If the return is due to customer preference, dissatisfaction with fit, or other reasons not caused by Breezm, return shipping costs will be deducted from your refund. You may use your own shipping method or request a label at your cost

International Orders:

  • If the return is due to our error (incorrect order, defective item, damaged shipping, etc.) and is reported within 7 days of receipt, Breezm will provide shipping label instructions; international return shipping is the customer's responsibility
  • If the return is due to customer preference, return shipping is entirely the customer's responsibility and costs will not be refunded

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your returned glasses, refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days. Refunds are issued to your original payment method.

Important Refund Notes:

  • International refunds may take longer to appear in your account due to banking processing times (up to 2-4 weeks)
  • For non-US orders, any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, and international shipping fees previously paid by you are non-refundable, as these were charges imposed by your country's government or international carriers, not by Breezm
  • Due to currency fluctuation and payment processing fees, the actual refund amount for non-US orders may be slightly less than the original purchase price

Exchanges

Breezm does not charge for replacements due to our error or manufacturing defects. For exchanges due to customer preference (different size, color, frame style), standard shipping costs will apply.


Damaged or Defective Items

If your glasses arrive damaged or defective due to our error or manufacturing issue, please contact us immediately:

  1. Email support@breezm.com with clear photos of the damage within 7 days of receipt
  2. Include your order number and a description of the issue
  3. We will assess the damage and work with you to arrange a replacement or full refund at no additional cost
  4. Return shipping will be covered by Breezm for US orders; international customers should contact us for instructions

Note: Damage claims reported more than 7 days after delivery may not be eligible for return shipping at Breezm's expense, as the damage may have occurred after delivery.


Customs and Import Information

For US Customers

Breezm handles customs clearance at the port of entry in New York as part of our bulk import process. You will not need to interact with US customs authorities. Your eyewear will arrive ready to use, and all applicable tariffs and processing fees are included in your order cost.

Exception: If you order non-prescription frames without prescription lenses, you may be responsible for applicable state sales tax (see Taxes section above).

For International Customers

You are responsible for understanding and paying any customs duties, import duties, VAT, or taxes required by your country of residence. These charges are determined by:

  • Your country's customs authority and tax regulations
  • The declared value of the goods
  • The HS (Harmonized System) classification of eyewear in your country (typically HS 9003.11.00 or 9003.19.00)
  • Any trade agreements, exemptions, or special regulations that may apply

Customs will contact you directly if additional payment is required before releasing your package. Delays in customs clearance are not the responsibility of Breezm.

Prescription Eyewear Import Regulations

Prescription eyewear is classified as a medical device in most countries. Before ordering, please verify that:

  • Your country permits the importation of prescription eyewear and custom-manufactured glasses
  • Your prescription is valid under your country's regulations (typically valid for 1-2 years from issue date)
  • No special licenses, permits, or Local Authorized Representative registration is required for imports
  • Your prescription strength and specifications comply with your country's regulations

Customers are solely responsible for complying with their local laws and regulations. Breezm cannot be held responsible if your order cannot be imported due to local restrictions or regulatory requirements. See the Geographic Restrictions section for countries where Breezm cannot ship.


Carrier Information

Breezm ships via the following carriers:

  • US Domestic: FedEx, UPS, or USPS (selected based on destination and service level)
  • International: EMS, DHL, FedEx International, or UPS International (selected based on destination and efficiency)

Carriers are selected based on destination, cost efficiency, and reliability, and are subject to change without notice. Tracking information provided with your shipment will specify which carrier is being used.


Lost or Undeliverable Packages

If a package cannot be delivered to your address:

  1. The carrier will attempt to return it to Breezm
  2. You will be notified by email with details of the delivery issue
  3. For US orders: Once returned to our New York warehouse, we can attempt reshipment at no additional charge (if address is corrected) or process a refund
  4. For international orders: Additional shipping charges will apply for reshipment; alternatively, a refund minus international shipping costs may be issued

If a package is lost or missing in transit:

  • Report the issue to Breezm within 14 days of the expected delivery date
  • Breezm will file a claim with the carrier; claims typically take 30-60 days to process
  • If the claim is approved and Breezm is reimbursed, we will replace your order at no additional cost or issue a full refund
  • If the claim is denied or the package is uninsured, Breezm may offer a replacement at a discounted rate (usually 50% off)

Special Circumstances

Military and APO/FPO Addresses (US)

We can ship to military APO/FPO addresses in the United States. These orders typically take longer to arrive (6-8 weeks) due to military mail processing. Customs fees do not apply to APO/FPO shipments.

Shipments to Remote Regions

Customers ordering to remote regions (Alaska, Hawaii, remote Australian territories, etc.) may experience longer delivery times and higher shipping costs. We will notify you of any additional charges at checkout.

Seasonal Delays

During peak holiday seasons (November-December) and major carrier strikes or disruptions, delivery times may be extended by 1-3 weeks. Breezm is not responsible for delays caused by carrier scheduling or force majeure events.
